Nursing & Midwifery ambassadors

As part of the global Nursing Now campaign, which also aims to raise the status and profile of nursing, the nursing and midwifery ambassadors’ aims are to empower nurses to take their place at the heart of tackling 21st century health challenges.

Our ambassadors are currently part of the wider integrated care system (ICS) work to transform perceptions of nursing and midwifery across the ICS.

What does a nursing & midwifery ambassadors do?

• Acts as a local ambassador for nursing and midwifery, representing the professions in a positive light and by doing so, building awareness and positive perceptions
• Creates a bridge between activities to promote nursing and midwifery locally and the nationwide campaign
• Speak for local organisations and their nurses and midwives within the national campaign
• Bring back the ideas and calls to action from the national campaign and customises, remixes and reshapes them so they will work in a local context
• Leads the local version of the campaign and get people engaged and taking action

Nursing and midwifery ambassadors are able to come and share their story and talk about specific careers. If you are a school or college and would like to book a nursing or midwifery ambassador, please contact Learning & Development Team for further information.
