National Apprenticeship Week provides a wonderful opportunity to highlight the incredible work being done by apprentices and employers across the country. At Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, we are proud to support and celebrate the contributions of our apprentices, who play a vital role in helping us deliver excellent healthcare services.
The Trust hosts a range of events and activities to mark the occasion, including Q&A sessions with apprentices and mentors, virtual workshops, and informative resources that support both current and aspiring apprentices. These activities are designed to inspire and inform participants, providing valuable insights into the benefits of apprenticeships and the support available at Frimley Health.
Each day of National Apprenticeship Week is dedicated to a specific theme, offering a tailored experience for different participants:
Manager Monday: Webinars and Q&A sessions are held for managers to provide helpful guidance on supporting apprentices, offering a platform for sharing best practices and advice on how to get the most out of apprenticeship programmes.
Big Breakfast Tuesday: A networking event where current apprentices come together over breakfast. This informal gathering allows apprentices to connect, share experiences, and build relationships with their peers across the Trust.
Celebration Afternoon Tea Wednesday: A special event to celebrate apprentices who have successfully completed their programmes. This afternoon tea recognises their achievements, with the Trust sharing their success stories and acknowledging their dedication and hard work.
T-Level Thursday: The Trust visits partner colleges to support students pursuing Health T-Levels. These visits help provide meaningful industry placements and raise awareness of the opportunities available for T-Level students to gain real-world healthcare experience at Frimley Health.
National Apprenticeship Week Q&A
Each year, Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is proud to participate in the British Army Apprenticeship Bake Off, a fun and exciting event that brings together apprentices from various sectors across the South East region. Hosted by the British Army, the bake-off challenges apprentices to showcase their creativity and teamwork by crafting impressive baked goods under pressure.
In 2022, we were thrilled to take home the top prize, a testament to the skills, dedication, and enthusiasm of our apprentices.
This annual event not only allows our apprentices to demonstrate their culinary talents but also fosters camaraderie, creativity, and collaboration between apprentices from different industries.
Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is proud to be invited to this event, as it highlights the versatility of our apprentices and their ability to excel in diverse challenges outside of the healthcare setting.
The bake-off is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate apprenticeships in a unique and enjoyable way, while building relationships with other organisations across the region.
